Visitors to the Blue Mountains region over the next 10 months will have a chance to win one of the world's most exotic cars, a Bufori MKIII La Joya.

It's the prize in a promotion offered by Bufori and Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Oberon Tourism that will run until April 2012.

Bufori is an Australian-owned company, founded in 1986 in the Sydney suburb of Merrylands. The cars are lovingly hand-built in Malaysia by traditional craftsmen using only the finest materials and components from around the world.

The cars are built to order and it takes three-and-a-half months to finish one. They have been driven by kings and queens, sultans, movie and rock stars.

Buforis follow the classic designs of the 1930s, but incorporate the latest technology, including carbon fibre and Kevlar bodywork, a 2.6 litre midmounted engine with sequential shift transmission and safety features such as anti-lock braking (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), traction control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Major prize is a Bufori Mark III La Joya ex demonstrator model colour black amethyst.
